My highest career aspiration is to start a company that brings unprecedented integration in Fashion society at global context by dissolving the geographical boundaries in terms of styles & trends. I want to create a worldwide set up which finds the talent, in the field of designing, acting, writing, modelling, painting, public speaking etc. , from metro cities to backwoods globally, nurture their art by professional training and expose them to the highest of the industrys platforms. I want to bring all the top faces of the industry under one roof to help those who have alent but not resources.
I want to engage Franca Sozzani in the discussion about revolutionizing the fashion industry by bringing talents from underdeveloped areas to high fashion streets. I want to see Diane Von Furstenburg, Tory Burch, Miuccia Prada inspiring their lines from the designs of the designers/artists found by my company. I want to convince Pat Mc Grath to give lessens on fashion makeup to underpriviledged yet talented people who aspire to be professionally trained. I want that day to come when Cathy Horyn gives thumbs up to my work in NY times.
THE day when Anne Wintour dedicate a whole section of her magazine to my company and its work. To achieve these goals, I have focused my professional pursuits to various roles in fashion industry that has prepared me to create a market disrupting innovative company fit to impact the overall industry economically and socially. My experience in public speaking has placed me in close contact with the top executives of various companies, political leaders, successful entrepreneurs and government officials.
The pportunity to interact with such innovative individuals has been an inspiration, provided me a first-hand account of what qualities todays leaders possess and enhanced my confidence and passion to the highest levels. My experience as corporate trainer have not only polished my business skills by working closely to all departments of the company but also evolved me as an impeccable motivational speaker and personal/professional consultant.
My life’s Journey has fostered the intangible qualities of successful entrepreneur which includes the ability to manage, resence to inspire, charisma to lead and fortitude to persist in the face of challenges. I am choosing Wharton for its greater diversity in the aspirations of the entrepreneurial community in terms of industry and market. I will need to lead in fashion industry where leadership is also characterized by the talent to lead corporate players in global, competitive markets and an understanding of the cultural, economical and financial forces that drive the marketplace.
Hence, I believe studying by the researchers of the Center of Leadership and Change Development ike Prof. S. Kaplan who composed Framing the Future will help me build and lead a high performance group. Learning from Prof. Dushnitsky on the various dimensions of new venture creation and growth in Entrepreneurship, will show me his perspective on the trail I wish to follow as a founder. I intend to Join the ‘entrepreneurs club’ which will not only help me form lifelong friendships with fellow students, but also give me exposure to top consulting firms and successful entrepreneurs.
The Multinational Management major courses will prove valuable in elping me understand other cultures which will be important when penetrating new markets. I want to explore a more sociologically-grounded way of thinking, not typically found in more conventional business thinking which does not work in creative industries. My research has fully attested to my belief that Wharton is the very school that will transform me from a candidate to a bona fide leader of future. I aspire. I plan. I execute. Clich?© or not, this has been the cornerstone leading from a fledgling student to a professional, fully prepared to pursue my MBA at Wharton.
